Over 50 years ago today, in 1969 and 1971, two great artists, Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones and Jim Morrison of The Doors, passed away. Why am I writing about both of them? Both died on July 3 as a result of their drug use. Brian Jones drowned, Jim Morrison was found dead in the bathtub. It is also interesting to note that both were 27 years old.
So both belong to the infamous 27 Club, which actually honors artists who died at 27. In the case of both of them, it is pure coincidence and can only be put down to excessive drug consumption.
I chose two songs for both that I like and fit with my friend @uwelang's #rockbest tag. Do you know these songs? Would you choose something else? If so, which ones?

Heute vor über 50 Jahren, im Jahr 1969 und 1971, sind mit Brian Jones von The Rolling Stones und Jim Morrison von The Doors zwei große Künstler von uns gegangen. Warum schreibe ich über beide? Beide sind am 3. Juli gestorben, und zwar an den Folgen ihres Drogenkonsums. Brian Jones ist ertrunken, Jim Morrison wurde tot in der Badewanne aufgefunden. Interessant ist auch, dass beide 27 Jahre alt waren.
Beide gehören also dem berüchtigten 27 Club an, der eigentlich Künstler ehrt, die mit 27 gestorben sind. Bei den beiden ist es reiner Zufall, man kann es nur auf den exzessiven Drogenkonsum zurückführen.
Ich habe für beide zwei Lieder ausgewählt, die mir gefallen und zu dem #rockbest-Tag meines Freundes @uwelang passen. Kennt ihr diese Lieder? Würdet ihr etwas anderes auswählen? Wenn ja, welche?
