¡Saludos a toda la comunidad del Hive Music Festival! Hoy les traigo una propuesta musical creada desde cero con mi guitarra eléctrica y mi pedal, explorando un estilo que siempre me ha llamado profundamente la atención: el blues fusión. Para este proyecto decidí trabajar en Do menor (C minor) porque es una tonalidad que me permite jugar con matices emotivos, texturas densas y un ambiente introspectivo que encaja muy bien con el carácter del blues moderno.

Comencé construyendo una base propia, utilizando la guitarra eléctrica para desarrollar tanto la armonía como el ritmo principal. Mi intención fue encontrar un groove suave, firme y con ese toque clásico del blues, pero incorporando colores contemporáneos que le dieran frescura. Para reforzar la estructura, añadí un bajeo creado con la misma guitarra, ajustando la ecualización y las frecuencias graves para lograr un sonido cálido, profundo y consistente.

Una vez tuve la base lista, empecé a trabajar en las improvisaciones, enfocándome en la expresividad antes que en la velocidad. Usé recursos del pentatónico menor, fraseos tradicionales del blues y algunas variaciones más modernas que aportan un carácter experimental. Mi objetivo fue que cada línea melódica respirara, que las notas largas tuvieran intención y que los silencios formaran parte del discurso musical. Implementé bendings amplios, vibratos controlados y pequeñas tensiones que se resuelven de manera natural sobre la armonía.

También reforcé ciertos pasajes con detalles rítmicos y algunas notas de apoyo para mantener la dinámica sin sobrecargar el sonido. Quise que la pieza fluyera como un diálogo entre la base y la improvisación, manteniendo ese espíritu libre que hace del blues un género tan honesto.

Greetings to the entire Hive Music Festival community! Today I want to share a musical project that I built completely from scratch using my electric guitar and pedal, exploring a style that has always inspired me: blues fusion. For this piece, I chose to work in C minor, a key that allows me to express deeper emotions, richer textures, and a modern atmosphere that blends naturally with the essence of blues.

I started by creating the main backing track using only the electric guitar. My aim was to shape a groove that felt warm, steady, and rooted in the traditional blues feeling while adding more contemporary elements for contrast. To reinforce the rhythmic foundation, I recorded a bass line using the same guitar, adjusting the tone, low frequencies, and slight saturation to achieve a fuller and more consistent sound.

Once the base was solid, I focused on developing the improvisations. Instead of emphasizing speed, I prioritized expression and phrasing. I incorporated minor pentatonic vocabulary, classic blues licks, and several modern nuances to bring a fresh and experimental character. I wanted each melodic phrase to breathe naturally, giving importance to note length, tone control, and meaningful silences. Wide bends, controlled vibratos, and subtle tensions resolving into the harmony helped define the emotional contour of the improvisation.

To keep the piece dynamic, I added rhythmic accents and supportive notes that enhance the flow without overwhelming the texture. My intention was to create a musical conversation between the backing track and the lead improvisation, preserving the spontaneous spirit that makes blues such an honest and expressive genre.
