Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia musical que disfruté muchísimo y que nació de una colaboración muy especial a @music-community. Esta vez no vengo solo: tuve el placer de trabajar junto a una gran amiga cantante y un colega trombonista para crear una versión muy personal de “Dernière Danse” de Indila. La magia del tema original nos inspiró a buscar una interpretación que mezclara nuestras tres energías, manteniendo ese aire dramático y emocional que lo caracteriza.
La estructura del cover surgió de manera muy orgánica. Yo me encargué de la guitarra eléctrica, tratando de aportar un color más atmosférico y expresivo, jugando con matices, vibrato y pequeñas líneas melódicas que sostuvieran la voz. Mientras tanto, mi amiga puso el corazón en cada frase vocal, conectando con esa esencia melancólica que hace tan poderosa esta canción. Y para completar el cuadro, el trombón añadió texturas cálidas, suavidad, y un toque profundo que abrió un nuevo espacio dentro del arreglo.
Grabamos todo con la intención de que cada instrumento respirara y hablara por sí mismo, sin competir, sino sumando para crear un ambiente emocional, casi cinematográfico. Fue un trabajo de escucha, de sensaciones y de respeto mutuo por el arte de cada uno. Creo que eso se siente en el resultado final.
“Dernière Danse” es una canción que siempre me ha transmitido una mezcla intensa de nostalgia y fuerza; recrearla con este equipo maravilloso fue una oportunidad para darle un enfoque más íntimo y personal. Espero que disfruten esta versión tanto como nosotros disfrutamos crearla. Gracias siempre por el apoyo y por acompañarme en este camino musical.

Today I want to share with you a musical experience that I truly enjoyed, one that was born from a very special collaboration. This time, I’m not coming alone: I had the pleasure of working with a talented singer friend and a trombonist colleague to create our own personal take on “Dernière Danse” by Indila. The emotional power of the original song inspired us to shape a version that blended our styles while keeping that dramatic, nostalgic essence that makes it unforgettable.
The structure of the cover developed naturally. I took charge of the electric guitar, aiming to add an atmospheric and expressive tone, using vibrato, soft phrasing, and melodic details to support the voice. Meanwhile, my friend brought the soul of the song to life with her vocals, connecting deeply with the melancholic energy that defines this piece. And completing the musical palette, the trombone added warm textures, subtle depth, and a gentle resonance that opened a new dimension in the arrangement.
We recorded everything with the intention of letting each element breathe on its own—no competing, just complementing one another to build an emotional, almost cinematic environment. It was a process of listening, feeling, and respecting each other’s artistic space, and I think you can feel that unity in the final result.
“Dernière Danse” has always given me a strong mix of nostalgia and inner strength. Recreating it with this amazing team allowed us to explore a more intimate and personal approach.
