Writing and recording songs for a children's program
Hey there frens!
As some of you may know, I spend most of my time at @recording-box recording studio doing all sorts of recording and mixing for clients. Some of our best clients are businesses, and on this occasion, we were commissioned to record voiceovers for a children's program that teaches them short lessons about values: being honest, diligent, being orderly, etc. I'll be in charge of composing, recording and mixing the music for the 10 episodes, which are only about 10 minutes long. In the first episode is about communication and this is the song I made. the lyrics go like this:

The slightly challenging bit is that they give us the lyrics, but they don't necessarily have a good musical structure 😄, so I have to get creative on how pick the genre, tempo and how to fit the words in.

That is very catchy, good job! I am curious about the rights to the music though. Is it alright for you to share it here? Does the company have rights and ownership of the song since they hired you for it, or does it need to be written in the contract?
In IT, I believe any code or program made while employed are owned by the company.
The client holds the rights to the song. As a studio, we're not allowed to sell it to another client or sign a sync licensing deal with another brand. We are, however, allowed to use it in our portfolio and talk about it on social media :)

Also, is recording box the same as recording cap?
I'm not sure what Recording Cap is. Recording Box, however, is an audio production facility in Latin America.
This is actually a powerful song that communicates so much deep within
It's a kids song 😄, it's just about basic communication skills they're still learning about.
I expect that recording kids brings some challenges. I hope they could enjoy the process. Kids do love to perform and we adults need to retain that joy.
Yes! We only agreed to work with kids because the sessions are very short and they were in the booth with their parents, so it was much more like a game of shadow except everybody was wearing headphones and speaking into a microphone.
We produced some audio books for a book publishing company a few years ago, and quickly found out that you can only stretch out a child's attention span to a few minutes at a time; 30 if we were lucky.
Since then, we only produce audiobooks with more experienced kids with good reading skills(10 and up) or adult voice actors that will do the part of a young character in a book.
I think you are doing a good job with recording the voice over for the children's programme. It's also good you are having a lot of fun doing your studio job, I wish you success in that. Thanks for sharing the experience with us and have a nice day.

Viste? 🙌 La hemos pasado super bien con este proyecto! Son unas pequeñas cápsulas animadas con alguna situación en la que los niños ponen en práctica algún valor como la honestidad. Son cortitos y todos los episodios tienen una canción como esta.
Me transportó directo a la infancia, la debes estar pasando genial conectando con ese lado infantil ✨
La verdad sí, la hemos pasado genial, pero también recuerda que los niños pueden ser un tanto hiperactivos 👌. Si los pierdes durante la sesión, los perdiste!! 😄 Retos de trabajar con niños.
😂😂😂 Suerte con eso, la clave está en volverse un niño más, pero con las crisis existenciales de la adultez jajaja
