En el año 2013 fue cuando descubrí esta banda, me llamo muchísimo la atención ya que no sonaba como el clásico reggae californiano sino que traía otros elementos como ritmos mas dinámicos, agregaron muchos mas elementos de percusión y ademas el pequeño detalle de que lo cantaran en español y con una voz de color muy agradable con mucho estilo. Letras muy bonitas que hablaban de amor y de conciencia. Y las melodías, eran mi parte favorita, tanto de la voz misma como de los arreglos en general, cada detalle era único, riff de guitarras muy creativos e innovadores al igual que los ritmos de batería y los arreglos de metales y teclados. Incluso tienen una canción llamada "Sentimiento original" donde el bajo es el protagonista. Por esos tiempos recuerdo que había un auge de Surf y reggae en mi ciudad...Incluso hasta mis amigos rockeros se unieron a esa onda, y lo hacían muy bien...Yo nunca lo intente pero si me "vacilaba" (disfrutaba*) muchísimo la playa, ya que soy amante de ella y era muy divertido y relajante reunirnos todo ese gremio juntos. El caso es que en estas reuniones siempre sonaba la música de Gondwana, era especial...Creo que la escuche tanto que después dejo de gustarme un poco. Pero hoy al escucharla veo claramente todos esos recuerdos. Hoy la gran mayoría de todos esos amigos están dispersos por suramerica y europa incluso, debido a la migración Venezolana...Yo decidí quedarme aqui en mi tierra, Venezuela, haciendo música. Quiero dedicarsela a todos ellos y en especial a la plataforma de #Hive...Ya que desde que inicie en ella solo me ha dado Felicidad.

Gondwana y "Felicidad"

Al momento de descubrir esta banda yo pensé que era nueva, y por eso estaban tan pegados y habían logrado ese estilo tan genial. Pues resulta que ya tenían mas de 20 años de carrera, 26 años para ser exacto, puesto que esta banda se formo en el año 1987 en Chile. Me quede impresionado al comprender lo que es la constancia en ese sentido...Algo admirable. El tema que les presentare hoy "Felicidad" pertenece a su album "Made in Jamaica" lanzado en el año 2002, este es uno de mis discos favoritos.

Creo que tal vez esta canción no haga mucho click con el tema de la semana "Nuevo Día" ya que no se refiere a ello directamente...Pero al mismo tiempo siento que si pueden relacionarse...Ya que un nuevo día siempre puede traer felicidad. No tengo mas que agregar así que aquí les dejo mi interpretación. Quiero darle las gracias a los organizadores de este gran concurso, esto también va dedicado a ellos...Y a quien pueda gustarle también se lo dedico. In 2013 was when I discovered this band, it caught my attention since it did not sound like the classic Californian reggae but it brought other elements such as more dynamic rhythms, they added many more percussion elements and also the small detail that they sang it in Spanish and with a very nice colored voice with a lot of style. Very beautiful letters that spoke of love and conscience. I think that maybe this song does not make much click with the theme of the week "New Day" since it does not refer to it directly...But at the same time I feel that if they can relate...Since a new day can always bring happiness.
