Greetings my valued fellow talented HiveOpenMic. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

The theme chosen each week always manages to identify me and somehow always manages to get the best of my thinking to get that theme clicked. Some manage to identify me more than others since they are always very realistic themes that somehow take you to everyday life and even make you bring back memories that resort to nostalgia. But this week's theme Wow! it's my theme! and I know that of many colleagues here as well. It would go without saying that it not only identifies me a lot, but it is the subject with which I have been most identified so far. "Let`s Rock" defines what my career as a musician has been since I learned my first song on guitar at the age of 12 years; Hotel California... And not only that but my lifestyle as such.

El tema escogido cada semana siempre logra identificarme y de alguna manera siempre logra sacar lo mejor de mi pensamiento para lograr hacer click con dicho tema. Algunos logran identificarme mas que otros ya que siempre son temas muy realistas que de alguna manera te llevan a la cotidianidad e incluso te hacen traer memorias que recurren a la nostalgia. Pero el tema de esta semana Wow! es mi tema! y se que el de muchos compañeros aquí también. Estaría demás decir que no solo me identifica muchísimo, sino que es el tema con el que mas me he identificado hasta el momento.."Let`s Rock" define lo que es mi trayectoria como músico desde que me aprendí mi primera canción en guitarra a los 12 años; Hotel California...Y no solo eso sino mi estilo de vida como tal.

Today I have chosen the song Blitzkrieg bop by the legendary punk band RAMONES. Song that I have been listening to and enjoying for many years, but I had never learned its name, it has always been difficult for me to pronounce it, that's why I made a mistake when pronouncing it in the video presentation. This song is the pure essence of what rock is, besides being an explosive punk, its lyrics are based on a kind of protest against the war, using war terms but against it. That mix between fun rhythms and a raised voice in favor of human rights was what made it a global anthem, especially in the punk community.

He escogido hoy la canción Blitzkrieg bop de la legendaria banda de punk RAMONES. Canción que llevo mucho años escuchando y disfrutando de ella, pero que nunca me había aprendido su nombre, siempre me ha costado pronunciarlo, por eso me he equivocado al pronunciarlo en la presentación del video. Esta canción es la pura esencia de lo que es el rock, además de ser un punk explosivo su letra se basa en una especie de protesta contra la guerra, utilizando términos propios de la guerra pero en su contra. Esa mezcla entre ritmos divertidos y una voz alzada en favor de derechos humanos, fue lo que la convirtio en un himno global sobretodo en la comunidad punk.

I really wanted to cover this song for a long time since I almost always listen to it, and what a perfect occasion than this week. Despite being the simplest song I've covered, it's one of the most difficult for me to get out, due to various factors that influenced it; The first is when I wanted to play the acoustic guitar as if it were an electric one, I had to measure those blows well since the resonance of the acoustic guitar, especially mine, is very strong and heavy and ended up making a noise. Another is that all the beats are down (typical of punk), in recent years I've been getting used to playing the rhythms on guitar both up and down, regardless of style...and here I had to go back to my estate. But already mastering those details, I really tripped this recording a lot. Too bad I didn't have a real electric guitar to hang around my neck and deliberate the performance and enjoy it properly.

Tenía muchas ganas de versionar esta canción desde hace tiempo ya que casi siempre la escucho, y que ocasión mas perfecta que la de esta semana. A pesar de ser la canción mas sencilla que he versionado, es una de las que mas me ha costado sacar, por varios factores que influyeron; el primero es al querer tocar la guitarra acústica como si fuese una eléctrica, debía medir bién esos golpes ya que la resonancia de la guitarra acústica, sobretodo de la mía, es muy fuerte y pesada y terminaba haciendo un estruendo. Otra es que todos los golpes son hacia abajo (típico del punk), en los últimos años me he estado acostumbrando a tocar los ritmos en guitarra tanto hacia arriba como hacia abajo, independientemente de su estilo...y aquí tuve que volver a mis raíces. Pero ya dominando esos detalles, realmente me tripie muchísimo esta grabación. Lástima que no tenía una guitarra eléctrica de verdad para guindarmela al cuello y deliberar el performance y disfrutarla como es debido.

If you know Adobe Audition or have ever used it, here I show you an image of the parameters that I use for the guitar, to be able to put distortion on it. Use a couple of compressors and a tube amp sim mixing various of your assets...you can literally do magic with this.

Si conocen el Adobe Audition o lo han utilizado alguna vez, aquí les muestro una imagen de los parámetros que use para la guitarra, para poder colocarle distorsión. Use un par de compresores y un simulador de amplificador de tubos mezclando varios de sus recursos...literalmente se puede hacer magia con esto.
