Disclosure - Experimental Soundtrack

Hello all :)

Well, it's true, today i left aside the visual arts to share another type of content.
It's been so long since i shared a sound experiment that i almost forgot that during a certain phase of my life, this was something i did as a hobby, alone, absorbed in playing and experimenting with the connection between the most diverse sounds.
Everything is just experiments, sometimes i manage to build, sometimes with a certain rhythm, other times just a sound story that makes us sit, comfortable, simply listening and trying to visualize whatever that combination of sounds might suggest to us.

Let me share a small introduction about myself and these experimental soundtracks: Despite having grown up near some musicians, and having taken classical guitar lessons since i was very young, i don't consider myself a musician or anything like that. All i share here are raw sound experiments that have as their base and influence a mixture of various musical styles and movies soundtracks. The first experiment came after an attend to one of the most famous electronic music festival in Portugal, the Boom Festival, and after trying out several digital work stations, it was with Reason that i found the tool i work with until today :) Now that i have made this little introduction let’s go over the details.
Let's get technical

About the software i used to create this soundtrack:

DAW (Digital Audio Workstation): Reason Propellerhead
Reason is a digital audio workstation "DAW" developed by the Swedish company Propellerhead Software.
This software simulates a rack of signal processors, hardware synthesizers, mixers, etc, thus mimicking the actual operation of electronic music production.

Below you can see some of the virtual devices used in this production:

  • Devices
  • Redrum Drum Computer
Drum machine built-in pattern sequencer, ten sample playback channels and a huge library of drum kits

  • Malström Graintable Synthesizer
Synthesizer using Graintable technology that is a cross between granular synthesis and good old wavetable synthesis.

  • Dr. Octo Rex Loop Player
Reason’s loop player with audio loops that have been sliced into their rhythmic components.

  • Thor Polysonic Synthesizer
This unique synthesizer features six different oscillator types and four unique filters allowing you to dial in synth sounds that are completely new.
