Hello everyone, this is Hive Music Festival Week 128, Round 2. I’m @akwash360, and I will be doing a cover of the song “Excess Love” by Mercy Chinwo, a Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter.

I can remember about six years ago when this particular song became popular. I’ve loved the song since then, and it has remained one of my favorites till date. That was also the period I got to know about Mercy Chinwo as a gospel singer in Nigeria. I must say she has an amazing voice, and she possesses an incredible musical talent, which she is using as expected. When you listen to her songs, you will understand that she is not just an ordinary singer but one with a deep connection to her music and message. Her voice carries so much passion and anointing, making her songs uplifting and spirit filled. I truly admire her dedication and consistency in the gospel music industry.

Let me also add that she has an outstanding team of musicians and vocalists who work closely with her to deliver excellence. Their coordination and chemistry are remarkable, which contributes significantly to the beauty of her music. The backup singers and instrumentalists play a vital role in making her songs even more powerful. I must say that her backup singers are exceptionally talented. The way they harmonize and blend their voices creates a rich and soulful experience. They come in at the right moments, giving the song a deeper emotional connection.

The instrumentalists also deserve a lot of credit for their efforts. Their ability to interpret the song’s mood and blend the instrumentals perfectly with the vocals is commendable. They put in a lot of hard work to ensure that the song is delivered flawlessly, and I truly appreciate their contribution.

Lastly, I am deeply inspired by Mercy Chinwo’s zeal and passion for ministry. She is not just a singer but a vessel used by God to touch lives through music. I pray that God will continue to grant her the grace she needs to use her talents effectively as she carries out her assignment. May she continue to be a blessing to many across the world.
