PRAISE AND WORSHIP WEEK 66// SONG TITLE: HOLINESS// COVER BY @AKWASH360

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Hello everyone!
It’s another beautiful moment in the Praise & Worship Week 66, and I’m so glad to be part of this week’s presentation. I go by the name @akwash360, and today, I felt led to sing a song from my childhood, one that holds a very special place in my heart.

This particular song has been one of my all-time favorites since my early days in Sunday school. Back then, whenever my Sunday school teacher asked me to lead the praise and worship session, this was always the very first song I would sing. It was like my personal anthem. Even now, I may forget the lyrics of many other songs I’ve sung over the years, but this one stays fresh in my heart and mind.
There were even times I would come back home from church, and when my parents asked me what I had learned that day, the only thing that came to mind was this song. That’s how deeply connected I am to it. The melody, the message, and the peace it brings made it unforgettable for me.

The reason I chose this song for this week’s theme, “Adversity,” is because of how powerful and comforting it has always been to me, especially during hard times. Whenever I find myself facing trials or going through unpleasant situations, this song comes to my rescue. It has a calming effect on my spirit, reminding me of God's promises and His presence, even in the storm.
Interestingly, I’ve tried to find the original author or composer of the song, but I haven’t been successful. It doesn’t even appear in most online searches. But despite that, it remains one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever sung. For me, it’s more than just a melody. It’s a message. A message of hope, peace, and the assurance that God is with us even in our most challenging moments.

The lyrics of the song are drawn from Matthew 5:8, which says: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” This short verse speaks volumes about the standards of heaven and what it truly means to live a life that pleases God. In times of adversity, it becomes easy to lose our focus and give in to fear, frustration, or even bitterness. But this song reminds me to keep my heart pure and my eyes fixed on God, knowing that His promise still stands. That the pure in heart will see Him.

So as I share this song today, I want to encourage someone going through a hard time to hold on. Let your heart stay pure. Let your focus remain on God. Let songs like this one remind you of His faithfulness. Let it stir your spirit and bring you peace, just as it does for me.

Thank you for joining me this week. Stay strong, stay faithful and never stop praising God no matter the difficult situation.
