Carvinal - Handmade Products Competition

The festival started from 14-17th, which also the date of Khmer New Year! Yesterday, I have join the event, and they even created a special competition, if any stall sell the most products, they can win the top one and get the golden thing. Today, I wanted to share something special with you. I recently visited Siem Reap and attended a carnival festival that had stalls of handmade products and creative food designs for the hot season. One stall in particular caught my eye – they had crafted a beautiful bag using natural materials.

By the ways, even the stage is building by hand and using coconut leave and everything from natural material. Truly appreciate!

The day visiting here was filled with laughter and good feeling, we talk alot along our walk passing from one stall to another stall, also everyone seems so excited to be celebrating this Khmer special occasion.

The owners here two of beautiful Lady just announce that all of they handmade products including bags, bowls, baskets, and handwoven baskets are now available with a 30% discount. Both of them greetings me and asking if I like to check out some items. At first, in my mind I think I ask smile to them back and go to check out another stall, but not until my niece suddenly comes behind me and seems like she interested with this kind of craft, so we go to check it out together.

This company I often see whenever I went to Phnom Penh, it amongst of one of the most popular company in Cambodia, I used to explore their supermarket and the mall. Now, my granddaughter just got to try some game with their workers.

It is a bit challenging because to win the game, you need to throw the circle tool and make sure it fall into the goal, there are three chance. If you can do that three times, you got choose whether Power Bank or Water bottle, but if you get two score, you can have a hat or totes bag. By the way, they make sure you already check and click a like bottom on their official page first.

I carry my handbags with a bottle of lemon tea I just bought from local here, walking with no direction at all, but I heard that about 2 miles more there will be a temple behind which allows all visitors to visit.

Arriving at the temple. Looking like there isn't many tourists, but if you walk even closely to the temple, sure that you can get to see both national and international visitors. In this Khmer New Year, I don't think many local people would go to visit the temple, mostly like teenager and adult they actually prefer fun activities more like playing with powder and water, which is using a fake gun.

The event comes with Khmer music at the background which make us really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I comes back from visiting the temple, and continue checking more items.

I have try the banana fry from here, I think they mix more powder than usual to make it crispy, but I prefer less powder more.

Finally, we ended up with picturing in front of the Hanuman logo. My niece love this brand, so I think she will enjoy this festival.
