🛣️ A Road to the Capital City of Cambodia - Phnom Penh

Every day it is normal that we have to travel 5 km from home to go to the market. Takhmao Market is open 12/7, many people go to sell vegetables or fruit for doing business and some go shopping, but today is the day that I choose not to go to the market and made homemade recipe.

I was invited to my husband's friend's birthday party, so I did not go to the market today and decided to go to the city to find clothes to wear to the party. Instead of going to the market for ingredients and homemade cooking, I only prepared some fast food for my son after school, and I started my motorbike to go to Phnom Penh with my daughter. My goal was to find clothes, nothing more.

The distance from Phnom Penh to my house can be said to be far, but considering the distance from my house to Phnom Penh, it is even farther because we split the road in two when riding to the city. Before heading to City, I had to cross a bridge called Prek Hoor Bridge, then we drove straight until we passed the traffic light (5 to 6) until we reached our destination to buy clothes, but if we came back home, it was less stressful because the way back we can drive along the national road as normal.

You know in the morning when everyone is heading to the working place, so there was a heavy traffic jams; this is why I chose not to drive along the national road when I go to Phnom Penh. When I go out at 7:00 am people are struggling with traffic jams and most of the school students are on the same road, and it is congested for many hours, so I decided to take the stress road with bridge, but it is save time to drive, smooth, and there is no congestion.

As we traveled to long distant places, such as the city, they were far from my home. I also do not forget to dress comfortably with long and thick because today the weather is increasing as usual.

Along the way, I rode with my daughter and the motorcycle I borrowed from my son. When traveling, we did not talk much because there were many big cars on the road; all of them were sand trucks. But when it came to the location of the city that being prepared and developed, there wasn't too much car besides us, so we also talked about the discuss how the construction works in terms of my interests, compared to 10 to 20 years ago, I looked at all these places. All the land, including the lake, were still underdeveloped yet. But facing up to now, I see that many buildings are built and already continue to build more, some buildings are not yet officially built as well. I ride a motorcycle, but do not look back; I just look in the mirror of the motorcycle. I see that construction has a lot of projects, such as bridges and shopping malls, etc. It will not take too much time for finished if I imagine, because before I did not think it would be so fast, now I think five to ten years they will finished the project. This place will be brand new, like what I thought.

Along the streets, old lady sang a Khmer traditional songs.

I just bought a bottle of water and left me a few amount of money, and suddenly just give her my support. We waited for the traffic lights actually which allows us to hear her singing longer. With the microphone that is old enough which also affect her voice, so I wish someone could give her more support.
