Hello guys, how are you doing? I hope you are great. I welcome you to my entry for hive music festival week 123 round 3. For this round, I decided to sing the cover for hallelujah by pentatonix. This song is a classic that was originally sang by Leonard Cohen. The pentatonix group sang the acapella while adding their own unique style making it more harmonious and emotionally rich. Some of their unique vocal techniques include beatboxing and harmony which gave the song a kind of twist amd timeless nature while still maintaining it's original beauty.

Listening to this song never gets old for me, infact it feels like I am listening to it for the first time anytime I listen to it. Pentatonix songs will make you feel that way. The first time I listened to the song, I thought it was a gospel song untill I went to search for the lyrics. What made me think it was a gospel song was some of the biblical stories and references in the first and second verse, but after listening to the end, I found out it is more of poetry and is more complex than traditional gospel song. It talks about love, humanity, longing, loneliness and so on.

When I decided to this song, I felt like I couldn't do justice to it the way pentatonix group did; and I still think so. And that is because I don't have a deep masculine voice and I dont know anything about beatboxing but I gave it my all and I think I tried. Hola chicos, ¿cómo estáis? Espero que muy bien. Les doy la bienvenida a mi participación en la ronda 3 de la semana 123 del festival de música de la colmena. Para esta ronda, decidí cantar el cover de hallelujah de pentatonix. Esta canción es un clásico que fue cantado originalmente por Leonard Cohen. El grupo pentatonix la cantó a capella añadiendo su propio estilo, que la hace más armoniosa y emotiva. Algunas de sus técnicas vocales únicas son el beatboxing y la armonía, lo que da a la canción un toque atemporal sin perder su belleza original.

Nunca me canso de escuchar esta canción; de hecho, cada vez que la escucho parece que lo hago por primera vez. Las canciones de Pentatonix te harán sentir así. La primera vez que escuché la canción, pensé que era gospel hasta que busqué la letra.
