Jeffrey Simmons 2019 Optic Donruss NFL Football ROOKIE Card
When Jeffrey Simmons first took the field as a rookie five years ago today in 2019, his impact was immediately immense! His first game came in Week 7 against the Chargers when the 2-4 Titans desperately needed a spark. The Chargers were also 2-4. Simmons along with Ryan Tannehill, who made his first start as a Titan as well, proved to be the spark the Titans needed as the Titans won an extremely close and dramatic game. This win started the awesome run all the way to the AFC Title game. I've written about this game before and will again in the future, it's one of my favorites, a real classic. One of the most important wins in franchise history really.
Simmons' first sack came against NFL legend Philip Rivers. This fact will one day make Simmons sound really old!
One of the best cards I own.
It's safe to say Jeffrey Simmons is a draft pick that former GM Jon Robinson absolutely nailed. Simmons is maybe the best Titans defender on the team and one of the best defensive lineman in the game today.
The top song in the the United States when Jeffrey Simmons first took the field as an NFL player five years ago was Lizzo's 'Truth Hurts'.
