Exhausted & Dehydrated - African weather and music in England ☀️
Exhausted & Dehydrated
This is me arriving home after a 3-hour walk in the blazing sun haha. I look a little tired and I was certainly dehydrated, but I had a great time doing it. I covered about twice the amount of distance I would have two months ago when I was 12kg heavier. Yes I've lost a further 2kg haha. I am now in my "ideal weight range" according to the charts. I'm on the upper end of it though so ideally, I should go down another 2kg or so to be perfectly in the middle haha. Mind you these charts don't account for people with more muscle or denser bones such as myself, so I'm probably just about fine right now.
The new goals are strength, mobility and flexibility. Those are the things that will make me feel better and healthy as I move into the next decades of my life. It's no longer about aesthetics, but about longevity and quality of life. Mind you it has never been about aesthetics for me haha. I'm not too bothered by my appearance if I'm being honest.
Both my parents have weight related issues that they developed in their 50s and 60s; diabetes and arthritis. I want neither of the above. They're both chronic issues and I hate chronic issues. Mind you I have a few chronic issues myself, but I've had them all my life so I've never known anything else. Like how can people laugh so hard without coughing their lungs out for the next couple of hours? What a gift haha.
Wednesday walk 👣
Taking part in the #WednesdayWalk, so here are some of the awesome senes I saw
🎧 What's in my ear?
I was listening to a super chilled playlist on Spotify called Café Africa. Listening to chilled strings from countries like like Mali and Senegal was so perfect, especially with the weather to match ☀️
Side note: Holy crap! We can embed Spotify now????
Peace & Love,
Adé
