Manga Mondays #11: Share Some Manga Recommendations

mangamondays.png

It's a new weekly series like AskAnime where I ask for Manga recommendations. I binge read a lot of manga so I tend to run out of titles on a weekly basis so it'd be great if you guys can give me some recommendations.

#mangamonday11

Share a manga that tackles a music or musician. Any genre would work, but the center of the story should be related to music. This could be ONGOING or COMPLETED.

Mechanics:

  1. Entry can either be a comment under this post or a separate post with a hashtag #mangamonday11. Please note the number "11" at the end of the hashtag is an indicator of the week number and it'll help me search for recent entries on the succeeding weeks. Making a separate post is preferred but settling for a comment is fine too.
  2. If you make a separate post about the recommendation, you don't need to specify that it's "Manga Monday Contest Entry 11" or something along those lines, just post it like any regular review post on the community. This isn't a formal contest as the criteria is just looking recommendations to read about.
  3. Reblogs or upvotes are appreciated but not necessary. Just comment the recommendation or make a post about the manga, that'd be fine.
  4. It doesn't necessarily have to be a manga, it can be a manhwa or manhua.
  5. If you already made a post about your recommendation, let's say a manga review posted months to years ago, drop it here as an entry.
  6. You can do multiple entries in the comments or post but bear in mind that if you shill me a bucket list of titles, I'd probably ignore it.
  7. Community mods will be curating the entries for engagement. This doesn't mean big votes, we could just be handing out Hive tips for those that engage more just as what we do on AskAnime weekly.

Piano no Mori or Forest of Piano if you like classical music. I've seen the anime on Netflix.

I've made a pass on this one but it's not because I didn't like the plot, just got caught up with other titles at that time. Thanks!

Ohh... When I was still into Shojo, I used to read Anonymous Noise... There's also La Corda D' Oro... (I especially enjoyed the anime version of this one).

As for BL...
I love Timeless Melody. It's such a masterpiece and this manhwa was so bittersweet. It made me love the song "Unchained Melody" even more. Whenever I hear this song, I remember this manhwa. And of course, GIVEN... The story is so good, but I recommend the anime more so you can enjoy their original music. <3

I've never heard of these titles because music in manga or anime has never been my genre but it's nice to get this week's recommendation list. Thanks!

There'd be more if it were music-themed anime... but for manga, I also haven't really read much. :) My pleasure... ^^

Luh, I almost forgot about this manga... It's Boku no Giovanni...I think I read it like years ago. It's a manga that has cellist mc, but he's not really that talented in playing cello—or atleast compared to genius cellists there, he's a mediocre. I really like how his character improved, but it wasn't updated the time I'm reading it, so I'll guess I'll check it out first...yeah, it's still ongoing. It was enjoyable to read (for me ) because the characters' emotions resonate well with me (especially the mc's).
