My favorite listening devices are...

I do not know if I owe it to my mother, but since I remember in my life, music has always been present, it has accompanied me in countless moments in addition to many if not all activities, for example when I clean the house I listen to music to give me encouragement and do it let's say faster.
I also listened to music when I was a teenager and did math exercises, now if it was something I had to read there if I did not listen to music and usually when I write my publications for HIVE I listen to music, in fact I have my playlist on my desktop computer and when I use the laptop I listen to music from YouTube, now when using devices I have two that are my favorites and their use depends on the place and time.

My main option is the use of speakers, currently I have a sound bar connected to my desktop PC and is the one I usually use either with it or with the laptop because it has Bluetooth connection, so it is the one that gives me the pleasure of playing my music, plus anime, movies or videos or others that I can be watching if I'm doing it from my setup.
Now, if I am in the office or on my way home, there the option without a doubt are the headphones, but I am one of those who prefer them with cable and those with small plugs, the round ones that look like coins hurt my ears, in the case of the office I also prefer them, the computer does not even have built-in speakers and not even crazy I take some earphones of any kind, although I will not deny that I thought about it, but then I remembered that it is a workplace and not everyone can concentrate with music around them.

I don't know if it's because I haven't tried them, but I don't like AirPods, I feel that at any moment they will hit the ground and get damaged, based on the number of devices of this type that have damaged my husband and my son, not counting the losses, for example my husband taking the keys out of his pocket inadvertently misplaced some with everything and charging case, they were of very good quality and the charge lasted them long, but being something that shares space with other things if you are in a hurry they can be lost very easily.

I don't like either the Over-Ear headphones or the Gammer headphones, the reason is that when they surround the head as if they were a headband, I feel that they press my skull and I end up with a headache, besides that when I suffer from heat their huge earmuffs make me sweat a lot, I know that their sealing is ideal to block the ambient noise, but I pass from them.
Finishing, if I had to choose only one, without a doubt it would be earphones or sound bars, the reason is that sometimes I like to give volume to the music and I end up with ear pain and also it is not so good to be distracted, especially if we are in the street, I consider prudent to be attentive to what is happening around us. I share the same thought with you concerning AirPods. There’s always this feeling that they might just fall from your ears and get damaged.
I agree with you, that's the feeling, I feel that at any moment they will stop on the ground.
I really enjoyed reading this. It's clear that music plays such a big part in your daily life, and I love how you adapted your devices to fit each moment. Totally agree on the comfort issue with those coin-shaped earbuds - they hurt. And the story about your husband losing his Airpods made me smile (in a relatable way, not a mean one - those things really do disappear like magic)
Also, yes to sound bars. There's something about hearing music fill a whole room that just hit differently.
