Welcome welcome Three Tune Tuesday readers and contributors, it is that time of the week when I give out the prize for the week, that being ten shares of HBI. Better than the shares in HBI though is the Title of Three Tune Tuner of the week, a title that is worn with pride.

Who will be the Three Tune Tuner of the week for week 116?

Who will pocket the 10 shares of HBI?

Read on to find out

Sponsors

As always thanks to all the sponsors @blanchy @blackdaisyft @tengolotodo @hannes-stoffel @inthenow @wwwiebe @grindan @jasperdick and @dbooster for matching my 1 share of HBI for the winner.

Three Tune What now?

Right, Ok, now for the benefit of new readers, every Tuesday I pick three songs, sometimes all three from the same artist, sometimes three tunes from a particular genre, other times three songs from a certain country - you get the idea. I've always asked others to get involved and over the past few weeks, that is exactly what's happened, and we now have some ThreeTune regulars which is fantastic! The ask is to basically choose three songs to share. You can sing them or hum them or just pick three from an artist you love like I do, which is what most people do each week.

Here is a link to last week's post - at the end I said that I would pick someone who shared some decent tunes and give them a share in Hive basic income courtesy of me. Once again, we had some top-class entries and new songs for our collective ears, which is class.

Here is this week's as well, sure I may as well give it a shameless plug!

Huge thanks to week 115's ThreeTuneTuesday devotees.

Another great week folks, we had 40 unique Three Tune Tuesday posts this week. Take a bow every one of ye, as we would have nothing without you all throwing up your three tunes each Tuesday. Let's keep her lit and keep on growing - thanks to each and every one of you.

So, what's up for grabs?

Hive Basic Income.

Hive Basic what now?

Let me explain.....

Hive Basic Income

Again for the benefit of new readers, are you new to Hive? Are you struggling to get support on those first posts of yours? Have you come back to Hive recently and are struggling in a similar fashion? If so, I would advise you to keep an eye out for competitions that offer you Hive Basic Income shares. These give you guaranteed upvotes from @steembasicincome, @sbi1, @sbi2, @sbi3, @sbi4, @sbi5, @sbi6, @sbi7, @sbi8, @sbi9 etc and the more shares that you have the higher their upvotes. Simples...

image.png

It is a win win situation too for the person sharing the shares, as the person sharing them also gets a share of HBI for each one they share with someone else - what's not to like about this model. You get rewarded for being kind to someone else, in fact it is like a microcosm of what the Hive blockchain actually is from a curation perspective too.

The Tunes

Right so, speaking of tunes, let's get down to it...

Right, grab your headphones - Here is a flavour of this week's tunes.

SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS "Summer Goddess" @dbooster

Who is looking for some more Japanese Jazz? Well look no further, @dbooster has been spoiling us with some quality examples these past few weeks, and this week we get another from his collection. Check out this video and tune for starters and I'm sure you'll want to check out his post to hear the others.

The Wallflowers - Three Marlenas @bozz

Time to head to a Gig with Mr. and Mrs. Bozz. No camping on this particular weekend, but this Wallflowers Gig and quality support from Will Dailey hit the spot.

3 Songs by Bob Dylan (Part 2)! - (3 Cover Performances!) @jasperdick

Week 51 and not out from the big man from South Africa. He brings us three songs from Bob Dillon, one very well known and two less known, but they all have the usual quality that we expect from Jasper. Honestly I have never met anyone with such a repertoire of songs - some man for one man. Be sure to drop by and support Jasper as best you can.

Audience - House on the hill @joanstewart

@joanstewart loves her rock music and Joan knows her rock music. This week she brings us back to 1970 or there abouts for this classic, although I'm not sure about the Flute solo, it kind of reminds me of Anchorman and the sketch with the flute and him playing in the bar, but I dig the rest of the song, as well as her other choices. Curious what they are? Go check em out.

KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE - Sorry I Am Late @nickydee

Do you want to hear a few bangers? Well then, get yourself over to @nickydee's post from last week. You'll get banging tunes and fluffy cloud photos and even a Fluffy cloud tune to close it out. This one from KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE was new to me and that's what I call a tune!

Valor Beats - Smooth Lofi @deeanndmathews

@deeanndmathews is all about the Lofi this week and shares a fellow Hive member's tunes. Check out the tune below and if you like it go and check out more from @valorbeats on Hive and Youtube.

Fireboy DML & Asake - Bandana @lydiapauline

Do you know much about Nigerian music and musicians, well dig under the surface here on #ttt and you will find plenty of great African music and @lydiapauline showcases three good examples of African Pop music this week, so be sure to check them out. I think it's pretty cool getting all of these tunes coming into my feed from all around the world every Tuesday, it always brings a smile to my face.

Usted Señalemelo - Nuevo Comienzo @coquicoin

Speaking of quality tunes from around the world, let's go from Afriac to South America. How are you fixed for some Argentinian rock? These lads were together since they were 12 and released their debut album in 2015 and then as many bands do, they split, but they recently reformed and played Lollapalooza where @coquicoin's son saw them, told her, she told us and I want to share them further in the showcase, these guys are well worth a listen.

Nuclear Power Trio - Critical Bass Theory @inthenow

Are you tired? Would you like to be woken up by some serious Metal? Well let me direct you to the tune below and the other two shared this week from @inthenow. I promise you will not be tired after listening to this trio of Metal, Metalcore and you'll want to see the video below which features the Queen on keyboards, Mr. Putin on Bass, Trump on lead guitar and Kim Jong Un on drums - I shit you not...

Philip Glass - In the Upper Room: Dance IX @qwerrie

What I love about @qwerrie's Three Tune Tuesday posts is that I often learn something, never overly verbose, but interesting and engaging bits of info that are new to me, and then most importantly the tunes never disappoint and are often new to me too. Always worth checking out folks, so you know what to do.

Journey - Faithfully - @galenkp

Have you travelled much in your own country or beyond? @galenkp and I have been lucky enough to travel far and wide and have both seen some amazing places, met some salt of the earth people and feel we are better people for those journeys. This week he brings us three songs that remind him of those journeys and he plans to make plenty more in the coming years, as life is for living and we won't be here forever.

Tres Canciones Originales @elisonr13

I'm delighted to see our old friend from Venezuela drop by with three originals for us this week. These are well worth 5 minutes of your time. For me @elisonr13 has a great voice and is passionate about his music, so go on, give him the support he needs.

Primus - Natural Joe @killerwot

@killerwot was telling us last week about a cool Canadian band called The Shit Talkers who himself and his band met at Rebellion in UK. Well one of the lads in that band was telling him to check out Primus, and check them out he did and he brings us three of their tunes this week. I had heard of Primus, but never really listened to them, until now, and you know what I really like what I hear, check em out. Serious Bass guitar on display across this trio of tunes.

Well done to all who featured above, but there can only be one winner and this week it is @bozz. I never knew that Jakob Dylan who is the frontman for The Wallflowers was Bob Dylan's son, but man does it make sense now that I know that. Their voices have a very similar timbre (well to early Dylan anyway) @bozz tells us about a Wallflowers Gig he attended and how happily surprised he was with the support act too. You've got to get their for the support act folks. It's just a nice thing to do. It may be the biggest ever gig these folks have done, so lend them an ear and if they are good give them applause and some Woooooos.

So, @bozz you take the prize and are the Three Tune Tuner of the week for the first time and are the recipient of 10 shares of HBI. Those shares will make there way to you in the coming days/weeks. Thanks again to @blanchy @blackdaisyft @hannes-stoffel @tengolotodo @inthenow @wwwiebe @grindan @jasperdick and @dbooster for sponsoring the tunes and matching my 1 share of HBI each week which means that 10 shares of HBI are on their way to you.

Proof

Note, I will transfer 2 HBI to you, as I will transfer on behalf of @inthenow as well.

Been flying around (actually traveling by sharing ride and all that more earthy stuff) and missed @ mentions because well... you guessed it! Bad admin! I'll fucking get it right one day. I will! I just need to figure out the logistics. Maybe the Engage app can add a section for @ mentions (? @arcange ). Such a great app but I only realised now it only has the comments and not the mentions <3

@inthenow - nice to see you back. You were missed 👍 (and worried about because I am a mom)

Great to hear more of The Wallflowers (!) @bozz. I only discovered them recently and now inspired to find their albums and hear more! Great sound! Great song. Congrats :D

Finding the time to go through all the new tunes again. Always new tunes! Super initiative! Always music forver 💥

p.s @jasperdick - looking good. Sounding good! I'm in Cape Town briefly so say if time for that coffee! If not I'll be around here a bit more in patches now...

Engage has a "mention" section

I will find it! My reply has been slow because I've been on the go. Apologies.

Honestly find Engage so much quicker to navigate, I delay until I'm on a laptop now. Doing this on the phone is a pain in the ass, quite frankly. After using Engage. And I'm not talking rubbish. Back and forth. Back and forth between notifications list and comments on social media front ends for mobile. No time right now.

I'll hopefully get to check in a day or so and will dig up the mentions section.

Thanks for letting me know 😊

p.s. An app would be super duper. Know you're busy though. Sorry! (No pressure)

But an app would be brilliant 😈

Geesh... I can't believe I missed that! There they are righ there! How embaressing! :D

But now I get to hassle you for an app, please.

Happy to do the design and UX pro bono. Love Engage. You can't really go back after you've used it. <3
