They're back!!

It's December, which means the C word can be dropped as much as you want . I'm a bit of stickler for now Christmas Tree or decorations in November. I find putting the decorations up to early dilutes the festivities and the novelty will have almost worn out by Christmas day. So December 1st is the tradition in our house for putting up the tree.

I love Christmas in fairness. What a special time especially if you have children. What's not to love? Presents from Santa, mostly everyone in good form, maybe some snow if you're really lucky and more recently the very American tradition of Elf on the Shelf.

We didn't actually do them for the first few years we knew about them, but as more and more stories came home from school, we said we'd give it a go and the kids aged 5, 7 and 10 absolutely love it. As the 1st of December draws closer the excitement builds and builds and builds until finally these three Little rascals who they've named jingle snowy and frosty appear run riot for the month!

Here is what the little rascals got up to last night. The creative little so and sos made their own Christmas decorations and made quite a mess as well I might add.

Yesterday morning

They kick things off in style yesterday morning, when instead of breakfast cereal, these mischief makers gave our three boys chocolate and marshmallows for breakfast! Honestly, you couldn't be up to them!

Well much and all as elf on the shelf is great fun for the kids and I love hearing their excitement while they run around looking for the hell raising elves in the morning, the down side is it's usually at 6 to 7am and the first awake wakes the others and off they go on the hunt while shouting with excitement!

Christmas FM is blasting out the Christmas tunes here in chez Ablaze and I must say it's magical. Merry Christmas everyone!!!! Tis now officially the season!!
