[Week 146] Tritsch-Tratsch (Instrumental song)

[Week 146] Tritsch-Tratsch (Instrumental song)

If you ask me about instrumental songs I like, I'll answer, "Where do I start?" I usually download full albums of the soundtracks of the movies I like. So I have songs that make me very happy, and others that make me very sad. But, on this occasion, when talking about some that we love, well, I want to share the second one I thought of.

It is Tritsch-Tratsch, a polka that I got to know thanks to a Venezuelan group called Guaco, who recorded an album with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Gustavo Dudamel, also Venezuelan. Some of the combinations of full orchestras with other genres of music other than classical is apotheosis. In my adolescence I had access to one of these recordings of another well-known band and it is amazing. But this one by Guaco is one of my favorites.

Tritsch - Tratsch is the first track of the album, and its beginning is powerful and energetic. Some speed changes may surprise you. Also, this version has those moments where some tropical instruments can be clearly distinguished. For me it is almost impossible to listen to this song with low volume, so as soon as I hear the album start (or at the latest when I hear the first notes) I turn up the speakers to full volume.

I like it so much that it's one of the songs I carry on my phone to listen to in some playlists while riding my bike, because I can even use it to pedal with a sustained speed, to the rhythm of the music.

Why this version? Because of the quality of the recording, the tropical instruments inserted, and the voice of Gustavo, the leader of the Zulian band speaking while the orchestra is in full (which makes me laugh, because it seems like I'm in a live concert for the first time).

These musical pieces remind me of one of my desires: to attend a concert with a symphony orchestra, and no more pushing aside seats at the end of the auditorium! Although I don't question the conscientious choice of venues with excellent acoustics for this type of performance, I want to feel those strong frequencies crashing against my body and enjoy the wonder of sound in that unique way.

This is my response to the @galenkp planting for this weekend, about: "Is there an instrumental track that you simply love? One that moves you. (Instrumental meaning no words, just music). Share a YouTube link to the track and tell us what it is about the piece of music that you love"
